Bio: Joanna Gilmore has worked as research assistant for the OPE for over a year. She is a third year Ph.D. student at the University of South Carolina. Her research interests include program evaluation, achievement motivation, performance assessment, and instructional implications of Vygotsky’s work. She has presented at American Educational Research Association and a special interest group of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction. Joanna is currently the treasurer of South Carolina Educators for the Practical Use of Research and serves as the co-chair for the Graduate Student Organization for the department of educational studies. Joanna also teaches Educational Psychology 401, an undergraduate course which introduces future educators to theories of learning, development, and motivation as well as issues related to assessment, educational research, and individual and group diversity. |
