Project Description: Beginning 2001, the goal of South Carolina Arts Assessment Program (SCAAP) is to develop and implement standards-based assessments in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts across all grade levels, and throughout South Carolina. Since 2004, the SCAAP has implemented web-based assessments in music and visual arts for 4th grade students throughout the state. Web-based dance and theatre assessments for entry-level students were field tested in 2006 and pilot-tested in 2007. Also in 2007, the SCAAP began development of web-based and visual assessments for 7th grade students.
