Project Description: This project, funded by the Office of Curriculum Standards and Accountability at the South Carolina Department of Education, will analyze achievement data for schools that participated in state funded reading initiatives. The elementary schools have sets of schools that participated in four phases of reading initiatives; SCRI phases 1, 2, and 3, and SC READS. The middle grades have groups of schools that participated in two phases of SCRI and the high schools are part of only one phase of SCRI. Achievement results for multiple years will be analyzed for schools that participated in the various phases and for matched comparison schools that did not participate in any of the state funded reading initiatives
